Complaints Policy

If something doesn't go the way you expected, we want to hear about it.

Last updated: October 19, 2026

How to raise a concern

Call (770) 874-4666 or email contact@affordablehealthcaregeorgia.com. It helps to tell us your name and best contact, roughly when you spoke with us, what you expected and what happened, and what outcome you want. Please don't include medical details or account numbers. You'll never be penalized for complaining.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge it within two business days, from a person, not an automated reply.
  2. We look into it, including our notes and the people involved.
  3. We respond in writing within ten business days with what we found and what we'll do. If it needs longer, we'll say why and when.
  4. We check back to confirm it's resolved.

If you're still not satisfied

Ask for the complaint to be escalated to Graham Kerswell, the founder, who will review it personally.

You can also contact outside agencies at any time; using this policy first isn't required:

  • The Georgia Office of the Commissioner of Insurance and Safety Fire, for concerns about insurance companies, agents and discount plans. Health care sharing ministries aren't regulated as insurance.
  • The Georgia Department of Law, Consumer Protection Division

Concerns about a sharing program's or plan's decision should also be raised with that program, under its own appeal process.

Health care sharing
Health care sharing ministries are not insurance and are not regulated as insurance. Sharing of medical expenses is voluntary and not guaranteed. Review each organization's guidelines for details, limitations, and state-specific notices.

Georgia notice (O.C.G.A. § 33-1-20)
Georgia law requires a health care sharing ministry to give this notice on or with its applications and guideline materials: “Notice: The organization facilitating the sharing of medical expenses is not an insurance company, and neither its guidelines nor plan of operation is an insurance policy. Whether anyone chooses to assist you with your medical bills will be totally voluntary because no other participant will be compelled by law to contribute toward your medical bills. As such, participation in the organization or a subscription to any of its documents should never be considered to be insurance. Regardless of whether you receive any payment for medical expenses or whether this organization continues to operate, you are always personally responsible for the payment of your own medical bills.” Health care sharing is not Minimum Essential Coverage.

Direct primary care
Direct primary care is a membership with a primary care practice. Under Georgia's Direct Primary Care Act (2019), a direct primary care agreement is not insurance and is not subject to the state's insurance laws; the agreement must say in writing that it is not health insurance. A DPC membership does not pay for specialists, hospital care or emergencies, and it is not Minimum Essential Coverage.

Discount plans
THIS PLAN IS NOT INSURANCE and is not intended to replace health insurance. A discount plan provides discounts at participating providers and does not make payments to providers; the member pays the discounted fee. Discount plan organization: Careington International Corporation, 7400 Gaylord Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034. Discount plans are not ACA Qualified Health Plans.
