Meet the Team

A small team, and a real person on the phone.

GK
Graham Kerswell
Founder and owner

Graham founded Affordable Healthcare Georgia after years of working around healthcare administration. He saw how hard it was for families to understand what they were paying for, and became especially interested in direct primary care, which puts the doctor relationship and its cost into a structure people can understand.

Graham writes and reviews the guides on this site. He isn't a licensed insurance agent, and he doesn't sell insurance. He isn't based in Georgia; he works with Georgia families by phone and video. Outside work, he enjoys cooking, reading and time with his family, and early-morning walks with his dog.

How we work together

We start by listening: who needs care, what you pay now, your budget and your worries. Then we explain the options that fit and the questions that matter. We also make sure you know what an option is not, including eligibility rules, exclusions and what you'd still owe yourself.

Read more about the company or see our guides.

Talk with Graham's team

Tell us who needs care and what you pay now. We'll walk you through the options, including when insurance is the better fit.

Free, no obligation. Georgia households only.

Health care sharing
Health care sharing ministries are not insurance and are not regulated as insurance. Sharing of medical expenses is voluntary and not guaranteed. Review each organization's guidelines for details, limitations, and state-specific notices.

Georgia notice (O.C.G.A. § 33-1-20)
Georgia law requires a health care sharing ministry to give this notice on or with its applications and guideline materials: “Notice: The organization facilitating the sharing of medical expenses is not an insurance company, and neither its guidelines nor plan of operation is an insurance policy. Whether anyone chooses to assist you with your medical bills will be totally voluntary because no other participant will be compelled by law to contribute toward your medical bills. As such, participation in the organization or a subscription to any of its documents should never be considered to be insurance. Regardless of whether you receive any payment for medical expenses or whether this organization continues to operate, you are always personally responsible for the payment of your own medical bills.” Health care sharing is not Minimum Essential Coverage.

Direct primary care
Direct primary care is a membership with a primary care practice. Under Georgia's Direct Primary Care Act (2019), a direct primary care agreement is not insurance and is not subject to the state's insurance laws; the agreement must say in writing that it is not health insurance. A DPC membership does not pay for specialists, hospital care or emergencies, and it is not Minimum Essential Coverage.

Discount plans
THIS PLAN IS NOT INSURANCE and is not intended to replace health insurance. A discount plan provides discounts at participating providers and does not make payments to providers; the member pays the discounted fee. Discount plan organization: Careington International Corporation, 7400 Gaylord Parkway, Frisco, TX 75034. Discount plans are not ACA Qualified Health Plans.

How we're paid
